The project aims to transform the Raqqa Equestrian Club into an integrated sports and tourism destination serving Raqqa Governorate while contributing to the revitalization of the equestrian sector in Syria through:
Tourist Hotel & Accommodation Facilities
Development of a tourist hotel within the club to accommodate visitors, riders, and delegations participating in events, complementing the project’s hospitality offering in accordance with the approved hotel program and plans.
Racecourse & Grandstand Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of the equestrian track, grandstands, spectator areas, and visitor and VIP facilities in accordance with applicable safety requirements and the approved sports program.
The planning concept is based on developing a multifunctional equestrian complex with clearly organized circulation for horses, riders, visitors, and service operations, bringing together a range of sports, training, leisure, and supporting facilities.
The main proposed components include:
| Component | Use |
|---|---|
| Stables | Horse boarding, feed and equipment storage, cleaning, and preparation areas |
| Equestrian Arenas | Main arena for competitions and events, with indoor and outdoor training arenas |
| Outdoor Training Areas | Arenas and routes for rider training and horse riding |
| Horse Care Centre | Veterinary clinic, treatment and rehabilitation areas, and specialized horse care services |
| Equestrian Academy / Riding School | Theoretical and practical training and education for different skill levels |
| Rider Facilities | Changing rooms, lounges, and facilities for riders and trainers |
| Main Clubhouse | Reception, seating areas, and social facilities |
| Hospitality Facilities | Restaurant, café, Members’ Lounge, VIP Lounge, and viewing terraces |

The project combines the redevelopment of an existing sports facility with complementary tourism, hospitality, and service activities, creating the potential to diversify revenue streams through hotel accommodation, memberships, training programs, horse boarding and care, restaurants and cafés, events, and commercial sponsorships.
The integration of these activities enables the project to serve different user segments while supporting year-round utilization of its facilities. Financial feasibility, return indicators, and the investment payback period will be determined through the detailed feasibility study based on development and operating costs, projected demand levels, and the approved investment terms.
The project represents an opportunity to develop a specialized destination combining sports, tourism, leisure, hospitality, and service-sector investment within a single integrated development, with the potential to establish an operating model supported by a diverse range of activities and services.
Potential investment activities include equestrian training and academy programs, horse boarding and care, championships and events, memberships, hospitality, restaurants and cafés, as well as commercial activities and services related to the equestrian sector.
