The Olive Branch FTTH Network Project is an operational telecommunications project serving Afrin and its surrounding areas. Z.D Telecom is responsible for the implementation and operation of the network, providing internet services to households, businesses, and service facilities across the covered areas.
Since 2021, the project has included the rehabilitation of existing infrastructure, replacement of damaged cables, deployment of underground and aerial fiber-optic networks, and development of the operational and data infrastructure required to deliver, manage, and monitor services.
The network currently serves more than 15,800 active users through an infrastructure comprising approximately 200 kilometres of fiber-optic cables and 9 Optical Line Terminals (OLTs), with plans to expand the service base to more than 25,000 users.
Kayan Holding Group supports the project’s investment and development strategy, evaluates growth opportunities, and coordinates partnerships associated with future network expansion.
Z.D Telecom is responsible for the implementation and operation of the network and for managing its technical and commercial services within the project scope.
The responsibilities of participating entities, bandwidth and connectivity providers, and service providers are governed by the approved agreements, defining the scope of each party and its operational and financial obligations.

The project is built on an operational network, an established user base, and practical field experience in implementing and operating fiber-optic infrastructure across Afrin and its surrounding areas.
The existing infrastructure provides a basis for evaluating expansion opportunities using actual operating data, including usage, subscriptions, collections, service quality, and maintenance costs.
Development opportunities focus on improving utilization of the existing network, expanding coverage, upgrading equipment, and increasing operational efficiency. The feasibility of each expansion phase is assessed based on the cost of connecting new users, expected revenues, bandwidth costs, and service delivery expenses.
The investment opportunity lies in the development and expansion of an existing fiber-optic network through increased coverage, equipment upgrades, enhanced network capacity, improved operating efficiency, and stronger customer service capabilities.
The existing service base enables the investment opportunity to be evaluated using actual operating data, while clearly distinguishing the performance of the existing network from the costs and projected revenues associated with future expansion.
The scope of participation, use of funds, management and operating responsibilities, and return distribution mechanisms will be defined through a dedicated investment study and agreements governing the specific opportunity.
