Sheikh Nayef Al Thani and Walid Hendawi Conduct Site Visit with the Governor of Raqqa to Review the Equestrian Club Project and Explore New Investment Opportunities at Ayed Reserve
As part of ongoing efforts to advance existing projects and identify new investment opportunities in Raqqa Governorate, Sheikh Nayef Al Thani, representing Qatari Syrian Holding Company, together with Walid Hendawi, Chairman of Kayan Holding Group, Raqqa Governor Abdulrahman Salama, and Majd Sharabji, representing Glory Holding Group, continued their field tour across the governorate with a visit to the Raqqa Equestrian Club.
The visit focused on reviewing the project site, existing facilities, and the proposed masterplan for its future development.
The visit forms part of the strategic partnership between Kayan Holding Group and Qatari Syrian Holding and reflects a broader investment vision focused on developing projects that integrate tourism, sports, hospitality, and leisure in alignment with Raqqa Governorate’s long-term economic development strategy.
The delegation also visited Ayed Reserve, at the invitation of the Governor of Raqqa, to assess the site’s natural characteristics and explore potential concepts for the development of a new landmark investment project within the area.

Advancing the Raqqa Equestrian Club Development Project
During the site visit, participants reviewed the existing equestrian facilities, horse stables, and the project’s proposed masterplan together with its future development concept.
The current vision focuses on transforming the existing club into an integrated destination combining equestrian activities, horse training, hospitality, and leisure facilities. The development includes dedicated equestrian infrastructure, training facilities, event spaces, restaurants, cafés, open public areas, accommodation, and hospitality services.
The project also aims to promote activities centered on the breeding and training of Arabian horses, creating a destination that extends beyond the traditional concept of an equestrian club to become a unique sports tourism and hospitality destination.
Construction has not yet commenced. The current phase is focused on completing the masterplan, finalizing technical preparations, and confirming the project’s final development vision prior to implementation.
Kayan Holding Group views the project as a long-term tourism and sports investment capable of attracting diverse visitor segments while generating new economic activity across the sports, hospitality, leisure, and service sectors.

Ayed Reserve Opens New Investment Opportunities in Raqqa Governorate
As part of the visit, the delegation toured Ayed Reserve at the invitation of Governor Abdulrahman Salama, where they assessed the site’s natural environment and discussed its potential for the development of a new landmark investment project.
During the visit, Sheikh Nayef Al Thani and Walid Hendawi expressed strong interest in the site, while several preliminary concepts related to eco-tourism, leisure, sports, and educational development were introduced for future evaluation.
At this stage, these concepts should not be considered final investment decisions. Instead, they represent investment opportunities currently undergoing technical and commercial evaluation based on economic feasibility, site characteristics, regional priorities, and alignment with Raqqa’s broader development strategy.
This approach enables comprehensive assessment of the site’s potential before selecting the most suitable investment model, ensuring that future development capitalizes on Ayed Reserve’s natural and environmental assets while generating sustainable economic and developmental value for the governorate.
Evaluating Opportunities Before Investment Decisions
Kayan Holding Group follows a disciplined investment methodology that begins with evaluating the underlying asset and its competitive advantages before comparing potential development scenarios to identify the most appropriate investment model.
For Ayed Reserve, the next phase will focus on evaluating the proposed alternatives based on commercial feasibility, development impact, operational requirements, and compatibility with the site’s natural and environmental characteristics.
This methodology reflects Kayan Holding Group’s commitment to selecting the right use for every strategic asset before capital deployment, helping reduce investment risk while maximizing the potential for sustainable long-term growth.
From Project Delivery to Identifying New Opportunities in Raqqa
The visit to the Raqqa Equestrian Club and Ayed Reserve reflects the shared strategy of Kayan Holding Group and Qatari Syrian Holding to combine active oversight of existing developments with the continuous exploration of new investment opportunities across Raqqa Governorate.
Alongside projects already included within the Group’s investment portfolio, Kayan continues to build a pipeline of future investment opportunities that undergo comprehensive evaluation before any investment decision is made.
This disciplined approach forms an integral part of Kayan Holding Group’s long-term growth strategy—developing existing projects, establishing strategic partnerships, identifying promising opportunities, and transforming commercially viable concepts into sustainable long-term projects and investment assets.
