Extended Biography
Walid Hassan Hendawi, born in Aleppo in 1991, began his professional career at an early age in investment and economic development, gradually building and managing companies across strategic sectors including telecommunications, technology, investment, and economic consulting.
He has held leadership positions in economic, institutional, and civic work, contributing to the development of service-oriented and community-driven initiatives. His expertise spans strategy formulation, partnership building, and management of civil society and volunteer-based organizations. He served as a member of the Chamber of Commerce in Northern Aleppo Countryside for several years, was a member of the Syrian Advisory Council in Turkey, and currently serves as Vice Chairman of a football sports club in Turkey, as well as a board member of Al-Ittihad Club in Aleppo.

Walid Hendawi has built extensive hands-on experience across institutional, developmental, and investment-driven environments through founding, operating, and leading businesses and strategic initiatives spanning telecommunications, fiber optics, technology, infrastructure, energy, logistics, urban development, and investment-oriented ventures. Throughout his career, he has contributed to the establishment and governance of educational, institutional, and developmental initiatives while leading operational and infrastructure projects, including large-scale fiber-optic network development (FTTH), partnership-driven business models, and execution-focused investment initiatives. His experience combines strategic leadership, operational execution, investment structuring, negotiations, stakeholder coordination, and partnership development to transform opportunities into scalable and sustainable ventures.
- Deployed more than 200 km of fiber optic cables as core infrastructure in Northern Aleppo (Vatan Telecom, since 2017)
- Oversaw an FTTH project serving more than 90,000 residential subscribers
- Delivered wired and wireless internet services to over 100,000 subscribers through Sham Future (since 2013)
- Direct operational experience engaging with government entities, governorates, and regulatory frameworks
